Job summary

Vanderbilt University invites applications for multiple tenured Associate or Full Professor positions in computing and related disciplines. The College of Connected Computing is new, combining CS, data science, and AI with interdisciplinary areas and a strong emphasis on research impact.

Senior faculty will guide the College's research agenda, mentor junior members, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute leadership matching their rank and expertise.

Qualifications

• PhD in computing or related field (CS, data science, AI, HCI, information science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or life sciences).
• A record of achievement commensurate with Associate/Full Professor with tenure.
• Strong peer-reviewed publications and mentoring accomplishments.
• A sustained record of securing external research funding from federal agencies, foundations, industry, or other sources.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses; contribute to curriculum development.
• Mentor junior faculty and doctoral students, and contribute to faculty development.
• Shape the College's research agenda and build collaborative programs.
• Lead and develop undergraduate and graduate programs and foster interdisciplinary partnerships.
