Job summary

The University of California, San Francisco invites applications for full-time Associate or Full Professor positions in the In Residence series within the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Candidates will lead an independent, extramurally funded research program and contribute to teaching, mentorship, and service across the campus.

We seek leaders with a record of impactful publications and external funding, who will advance UCSF's PRIDE values and collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• A doctorate in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, medicine, health policy, bioinformatics/clinical informatics, data science, or a closely related field.
• A record of research excellence, including successful extramural funding and high‑impact peer‑reviewed publications.
• A record of excellence in teaching research methods.
• A record of mentoring students in applied research or methods development.
• Extramural or other self‑generated funding to cover most of their own salary for three years (e.g., current PI or co‑investigator on NIH or other grants).

Responsibilities
