Job summary

ARCCA, LLC, part of the ATS family, is hiring an Associate Forensic Safety Consultant in Penns Park, PA to investigate workplace and construction incidents, determine causation, and evaluate safety systems. The role emphasizes applying safety standards and best practices to deliver clear opinions for clients and legal counsel.

The position requires a Master’s degree in a related field, experience with incident investigations, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a technical or scientific discipline related to Occupational Safety or Industrial Systems; PhD acceptable but not required.
  • Experience with accident reconstruction, workplace injury investigation, and safety compliance evaluations.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and hazard control practices.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and in an office environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Safety certifications such as CSP, CHST, or similar are a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to access active construction sites and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced forensic experts on active cases with opportunities for mentorship and a defined development path toward becoming a designated expert.
  • Investigate workplace, industrial, and construction site incidents involving employee injury, fatality, or near‑miss events.
  • Support investigations of construction and industrial workplace accidents based on safety principles, proper equipment design, and environmental factors.
  • Analyze compliance with OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, NFPA codes, and applicable state and local safety requirements.
  • Evaluate construction means and methods, job hazard analyses, safety programs, and training practices.
  • Assess use, condition, and guarding of machinery, tools, scaffolding, fall protection systems, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Apply ergonomic principles to identify workplace risk factors, evaluate human performance, and recommend injury‑prevention strategies.
  • Conduct or assist with static and dynamic testing related to material performance, product design, and human response.
  • Review project documents, safety manuals, policies, training records, maintenance logs, and incident reports.
  • Prepare clear, well‑supported reports of findings suitable for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Associate Forensic Safety Consultant
Position Summary

ARCCA is seeking an Associate Forensic Safety Consultant to join our consulting team. This role focuses on investigating workplace, industrial, and construction-related incidents involving personal injury and regulatory compliance matters.
