Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is currently seeking an Associate Flight Test Data Processing Software Engineer to join the Midwest Data Processing & Visualization team in Berkeley, MO.

Boeing Test & Evaluation’s Midwest Data Processing & Visualization team develops software applications and tools for instrumentation system setup and configuration; real-time monitoring; and post-test data processing, storage, access, visualization, and analysis. These tools enable flight test operations teams to efficiently collect, view, and analyze high-quality time history data to validate specially equipped aircraft and weapon systems.

C/C++, C#, WinForms/WPF/WinUI or Blazor, SQL Server, Visual Studio, .NET framework, git, and Azure DevOps are used daily to maintain legacy software and develop new applications as needed to support our users.

We’re looking for self-starters who can handle a variety of tasks; design, develop, and troubleshoot Windows-based software applications; derive requirements and determine the best path forward even when working from an incomplete work scope; and work efficiently in a dynamic team environment.

  • Work under general supervision, effectively communicating and collaborating within the team to develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve software applications and tools
  • Develop an understanding of flight test and data processing to better help the operation teams
  • Use software development practices that increase code quality, maintainability, and reuse
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

  • 1+ years of experience in developing software
  • 1+ years of experience with system integration, testing, and troubleshooting
  • 1+ years of software development experience in C++ and C# using Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • An active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience with data communication protocols, including Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC, CAN bus, and/or Serial
