Job summary

LPL Financial in Fort Mill, SC is offering an apprenticeship-like path to becoming a financial advisor. You’ll work with an experienced advisor, access mentors and resources, and build client relationships.

Successful candidates will develop service-oriented skills, engage in community outreach, and progress toward licensing while learning to craft financial solutions and manage client expectations.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of applicable professional experience in sales or entrepreneurial setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Ability to obtain Series 7 and 66 licenses within 120 days.

Responsibilities

  • Build referral pipelines and develop strong partnerships to grow client relationships.
  • Analyze financial data to develop strategies meeting client goals.
  • Prepare forms and documents for customer accounts.
  • Develop and maintain programs for new business development and sales promotions.
  • Handle customer inquiries and issues.
  • Execute customer mailing campaigns, seminars, and other sales ideas.
  • Provide general administrative support.
  • Maintain accurate client files.
  • Adhere to Compliance and Legal requirements.
  • Schedule appointments and prepare for meetings.
  • Participate in classroom learning sessions (virtual and in-person)
  • Apprenticeship, mentoring, and coaching sessions with a mentor advisor and other professionals
  • Attend sales meetings and assist with client prospecting and marketing.
  • Attend coaching sessions and training to improve sales skills and knowledge
  • Process trades under direction of the mentor financial advisor.

Job Overview

Requirements
  • 1+ years of applicable professional experience and/or experience working in a professional sales or entrepreneurial setting
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to obtain Series 7 and 66 licenses within the first 120 days of employment.
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office

Pay Range

54,700.00 - 91,100.00

The pay salary range is inclusive of base salary and potential sales incentive compensation based upon the applicable incentive compensation plan for this position. Base salary is determined on several factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Incentive compensation is dependent on achievement of goals set forth in the incentive compensation plan.
