Job summary

LPL Financial in Kennewick, WA is seeking an ambitious candidate to learn the business of becoming a financial advisor. You’ll work with a mentor, access a network of professionals, and build client relationships while helping others turn goals into realities.

You’ll develop skills in referrals, financial analysis, and compliance, with structured training, classroom sessions, and in-person or virtual coaching as you advance toward independent client service.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of applicable professional experience and/or experience working in a professional sales or entrepreneurial setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

You’ll work alongside a successful LPL advisor to learn firsthand the business of becoming a financial advisor. You’ll have access to a network of knowledgeable industry professionals, mentors, and resources to help ensure you reach your full potential. Successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for helping others turn life’s aspirations into financial realities and possess a service and detail-oriented mindset. They will enjoy building relationships, shaping unique solutions, and being active in their local community.

Responsibilities
  • Build referral pipelines and develop strong partnerships to help develop and grow client relationships.
  • Analyze financial data received from clients to develop strategies to meet their goals.
  • Ability to prepare all appropriate forms and documents for customer accounts.
  • Develop, institute, and maintain programs relating to new business development and sales promotions
  • Handle customer inquiries and issues.
  • Execute customer mailing campaigns, seminars, and other sales generating ideas.
  • Provide general administrative support.
  • Maintain accurate client files.
  • Adhere to all Compliance and Legal requirements.
  • Schedule appointments and prepare for meetings.
  • Participation in classroom learning sessions (virtual and in-person)
  • Apprenticeship, mentoring, and coaching sessions with a mentor advisor and other industry professionals
  • Attend sales meetings and assist with client prospecting and marketing.
  • Attend coaching sessions and training events to improve sales skills and industry knowledge
  • Process trades under direction of the mentor financial advisor.

Requirements
  • 1+ years of applicable professional experience and/or experience working in a professional sales or entrepreneurial setting
  • Bachelor’s degree

Pay Range

54,700.00 - 91,100.00

The pay salary range is inclusive of base salary and potential sales incentive compensation based upon the applicable incentive compensation plan for this position. Base salary is determined on several factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Incentive compensation is dependent on achievement of goals set forth in the incentive compensation plan.
