Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an Associate for New Verticals Finance & Strategy focused on Grocery to help shape growth initiatives and profitability. You will partner with teams across the business to support financial decisions and ensure data-driven choices from conception through execution.

In a small team, you will have visibility to senior leaders and the opportunity to influence how we allocate resources, build robust models, and improve processes that balance expansion with efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking in a high-growth technology sector.
• Ability to influence cross functional partners at all levels.
• Experience managing budgets for various teams.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills. Able to build robust financial models used by F&S teams throughout the company.
• Basic SQL proficiency (or strong willingness to learn).

About the Team

The New Verticals Finance & Strategy team supports DoorDash’s expansion into categories beyond restaurants, which is a critical growth driver for the overall company. We enable our businesses to grow faster while becoming more profitable. We do this by creating quarterly and annual plans, holding our stakeholders accountable to goals, and providing strategic insights on our business to understand past trends and identify the best path forward.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a high growth business inside DoorDash. Within New Verticals, you will focus on our Grocery business, one of our biggest bets as a company as we expand beyond restaurants. We are looking for an Associate who can model the future, and collaborate to help carry projects from conception through execution. You will partner with teams across the business to support financial decisions and ensure we are making efficient, data-driven decisions. Given the small size of the team relative to the complexity of the business, you will have significant ability to shape growth and profitability, and have meaningful visibility to senior leaders at the company.

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.

See below for paid time off details:

• For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
• For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.

$87,000 — $128,000 USD
