Job summary

Amgen Inc. is seeking an Associate Finance professional to manage procurement operations and vendor relationships within SAP Ariba and SAP ECC/S4 HANA.

You will handle PO creation, supplier onboarding, invoice processing, and data entry from invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance across projects. The role emphasizes hands-on SAP experience, attention to detail, and collaborative work to support Amgen's mission in biopharma.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree with 4 years of procurement ops, vendor management, or project coordination experience OR High school diploma/GED with 6 years of procurement ops, vendor management, or project coordination experience.
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Ariba (Downstream Buying and Invoicing) and SAP ERP systems.
• Familiarity with purchasing processes, vendor management, and supply chain logistics.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with strategic thinking and a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.

• PO Creation & Management:
  Creating, issuing, and managing R&D or project-related Purchase Orders (POs) within SAP Ariba and SAP ECC/S4 HANA systems.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Facilitating new vendor inclusion, resolving PO exceptions (specs, shipment issues), and updating payment terms per the scope of work.
• Ariba Invoice Processing.
• SAP data input from Invoices.

What we expect of you

• Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree and 4 years of procurement operations, vendor management, or project coordination experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of procurement operations, vendor management, or project coordination experience.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
