Boardwalk Pipelines, LP. seeks an Associate Field Technician/Senior Field Technician for Holmes, MS to operate and maintain gas compressor stations and pipeline systems, ensuring safe, reliable product flow and regulatory compliance.

The role requires living within 30 miles of Holmes and participating in on-call rotations. Responsibilities include field operations, maintenance, and repair aligned with DOT 192 regulations, and collaboration with teams on safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician/ Field Technician/ Sr. Field Technician for our Holmes, MS.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Associate Field Technician is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of a natural gas compressor station and pipeline system to ensure safe, reliable product flow and full regulatory compliance. Duties include operating the compressor station on a rotating schedule, responding to callouts during assigned operating weeks, and participating in an area-wide on-call rotation for emergency or abnormal operating conditions. Successful candidate must live 30 miles from the Holmes Compressor station in order to respond to call-outs.

The position provides environmental, health, safety, and reliability support for natural gas transmission operations.

The role is also responsible for executing operations, maintenance, and repair procedures in accordance with DOT regulations, industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and company policies related to facility equipment and appurtenances.

Key responsibilities include handling natural gas related to reciprocating / turbine compression equipment, pipeline network in assigned area; performing assigned tasks, supporting construction activities; conducting preventative maintenance and regulated compliance inspections along pipelines such at meter stations, on corrosion control systems, valves, leak surveys and right-of-way areas; and managing facility encroachment activities such as pipe locates, excavations, and inspections. The role requires acquiring Operator Qualification (OQ) tasks and may occasionally involve assisting at other work locations.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Physical requirements - standing/walking; climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolds; bending/stooping/squatting; carrying and lifting items 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet
• Working conditions - exposure to extreme heat and cold temperatures and enclosed spaces
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent verbal communications skills
• Problem solving skills and ability to manage filing system
• History of safe work
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Current Driver's License with clean record.

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Experience working with natural gas pipelines and compressor facilities as well as familiar with DOT 192 Regulations
• College or technical school degree
• Mechanical and/or Electrical degree
• Mechanical and/or Electrical industry related training
