Job summary

Boardwalk Pipelines, LP in Texas is seeking an Associate Field Technician/Field Technician/Sr. Field Technician for the Goodrich area. You will operate and maintain natural gas compressor stations and pipeline systems in a safety-conscious, regulatory-compliant manner.

Successful candidates will live within 30 miles of the Gulf South Compressor Station in Goodrich, and will work rotating schedules with on-call duties. A high school diploma is required; college/technical training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with natural gas pipelines and compressor facilities preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT 192 regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate compressor station on rotating schedule and respond to callouts.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs per manufacturer specs and DOT rules.

We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician/Field Technician/Sr. Field Technician for our Goodrich, TX office.

Position Description

• Successful Candidate is required to live within 30 miles or less of the Gulf South Compressor Station located in Goodrich, TX

This role is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of a natural gas compressor station and pipeline system to ensure safe, reliable product flow and full regulatory compliance. Duties include operating the compressor station on a rotating schedule, responding to callouts during assigned operating weeks, and participating in an area-wide on-call rotation for emergency or abnormal operating conditions.

The position provides environmental, health, safety, and reliability support for natural gas transmission operations. Responsibilities include identifying and reporting abnormal or unsafe conditions, completing accident and near-miss reporting, supporting emergency response efforts, performing regulatory compliance activities, and conducting equipment maintenance and repair.

The role is also responsible for executing operations, maintenance, and repair procedures in accordance with DOT regulations, industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and company policies related to facility equipment and appurtenances.

Key responsibilities include handling natural gas related to reciprocating / turbine compression equipment, pipeline network in assigned area; performing assigned tasks, supporting construction activities; conducting preventative maintenance and regulated compliance inspections along pipelines such at meter stations, on corrosion control systems, valves, leak surveys and right-of-way areas; and managing facility encroachment activities such as pipe locates, excavations, and inspections. The role requires acquiring Operator Qualification (OQ) tasks and may occasionally involve assisting at other work locations.

Required Skills, Knowledge, And Experience

• Physical requirements standing/walking carrying and lifting items 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet
• Working conditions - exposure to extreme heat and cold temperatures and enclosed spaces
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent verbal communications skills
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience working with natural gas pipelines and compressor facilities as well as familiar with DOT 192 Regulations
