Job summary

Murphy Oil Corporation is seeking an Associate Field Services Clerk to support Operations, Fleet Management, and Inventory Management. You will help move materials, vehicles, and supplies across Tilden, Karnes, and Catarina fields in the Eagle Ford Shale region, ensuring safety and adherence to company requirements.

You will assist with material pulls, SAP transactions, inventory counts, and fleet support while learning our processes and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum six months in warehousing, delivery, materials handling, fleet support, or a field or shop environment.
  • Willingness to learn company processes, systems, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to learn SAP and other business systems.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
  • Dependable and punctual, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently once trained.
  • Strong attention to detail when counting materials, recording information, and maintaining inventory- and fleet-related records.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, load, and unload materials and equipment and perform work involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, driving, and exposure to outdoor field conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with pulling, sorting, staging, loading, unloading, and delivering materials based on approved requests and work orders.
  • Enter routine SAP transactions and update tracking records as directed by the materials team.
  • Assist with inventory counts, report discrepancies, and help maintain clean and organized warehouse and field storage areas.
  • Transport company vehicles for maintenance, inspections, repairs, fueling, cleaning, and registration needs, and provide status updates as appropriate.
  • Transport materials, parts, equipment, supplies, and documentation among field locations and vendor sites.
  • Respond to operational and logistics requests and help ensure resources arrive safely and on time.
  • Complete required on-the-job training and provide backup support to team members as schedules allow.
  • Follow all health, safety, environmental, driving, and PPE requirements.
  • Perform other operational support activities and special projects.

Job Summary

The Associate Field Services Clerk is an entry-level position that provides day-to-day support to Operations, Fleet Management, and Inventory Management. The role assists with transporting materials, equipment, supplies, and fleet vehicles and supplies among the Tilden, Karnes, and Catarina field locations in the Eagle Ford Shale region. This position supports fleet and inventory functions and helps ensure operational needs are handled safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company requirements. The Associate Field Services Clerk reports directly to the US Onshore Operations Support Supervisor, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Logistics and Materials Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Material Pulls and Staging: Assist with pulling, sorting, staging, loading, unloading, and delivering materials based on approved requests and work orders.
  • Materials System Support: Enter routine SAP transactions and update tracking records as directed by the materials team.
  • Inventory Support: Assist with inventory counts, report discrepancies, and help maintain clean and organized warehouse and field storage areas.
  • Fleet and Vehicle Support: Transport company vehicles for maintenance, inspections, repairs, fueling, cleaning, and registration needs, and provide status updates as appropriate.
  • Deliveries and Pickups: Transport materials, parts, equipment, supplies, and documentation among field locations and vendor sites.
  • Field Support: Respond to operational and logistics requests and help ensure needed resources arrive safely and on time.
  • Training and Backup Support: Complete required on-the-job training and provide backup support to team members as operational schedules allow.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all company health, safety, environmental, driving, and personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other operational support activities and special projects assigned.
Licenses/ Certifications

Valid driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.

Desired/Preferred Qualification
  • Previous SAP experience is preferred but not required
  • Forklift certification and experience operating a trailer or flatbed preferred; forklift training may be provided

Th e individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions. Work is performed almost entirely in a controlled (i.e., inside) environment and does not typically subject the incumbent to any hazardous/extreme elements; some positions may require regularly moving or transporting items weighing up to 25 lbs. around the office for various needs. The successful candidate must be able to complete all essential physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
