About This Role

As an Associate Field Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC’s business through the field commissioning of building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for a team member who is self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and is customer focused. This position is your first introduction into the career of a Field Engineer. You will begin to complete assignments using troubleshooting skills, projects will advance in difficulty to develop your skills. The ideal candidate will be a 2023 or 2024 graduate of a Technical Trade school, or High School with a focus in HVAC, Controls, or related field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems that utilize advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
  • Offer effective solutions for system issues.
  • Provide turnkey project delivery on small to mid-level projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring that systems operate properly, to include controls, sensors, and software.
  • Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.
  • Implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate and document the status and details of the project for the customer.
  • Provide site‑specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid and current Driver’s License and can be insurable by the company’s insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or related field.
  • Interest in Building Automation, HVAC controls, or related field.
  • Interest in building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Working Knowledge with Microsoft 365 applications.
