The Milken Institute is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to support FasterCures’ programs in Washington, DC. You will provide logistical and coordination assistance for biomedical research initiatives, draft issue briefs, and help prepare white papers with care and accuracy.
Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree, 3 years of relevant experience, strong writing and organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams.

The Milken Institute’s events and programmatic activities involve the exchange of ideas with leaders from around the world. The Institute hosts more than 200 events each year, with our annual flagship event, Global Conference, bringing together 4,500+ participants from around the world, featuring more than 900+ speakers throughout 200+ sessions over the course of the event.
Based in Washington, DC, FasterCures is a globally focused, publicly supported, nonpartisan and nonprofit think tank, whose mission is to save lives, by saving time. FasterCures is a team within Milken Institute Health which is one of Milken Institute's four pillars of activity. The Milken Institute’s mission is to increase global prosperity by advancing collaborative solutions that widen access to capital, create jobs and improve health. FasterCures is focused on cutting through the roadblocks that slow medical progress in order to speed up and improve the medical research system.
Core responsibilities of the person in this position will be to support programmatic activities by providing a variety of logistical and coordination assistance, specifically FasterCures’ programs related to building the capacity of patient organizations to support biomedical research, and to building the discipline of patient engagement in medical research. They will also contribute to research and assist in the drafting of a variety of written products such as issue briefs and white papers. Topics may fall broadly within the fields of scientific advances, clinical research conduct, federal policy, health equity, and patient engagement and advocacy. Associates are expected to have strong attention to detail and be highly organized.
This position will work in a professional office environment on a hybrid schedule consisting of three (3) days per week reporting in-person to the Washington, DC office location (Tuesday – Thursday), with the remaining two (2) days working remotely. Please understand, this schedule is subject to change at the Institute’s sole discretion.
This person will also be required to travel occasionally to other offices and/or venues to assist with events as needed, requiring occasional work outside of traditional hours. Additionally, this position requires interacting virtually on a regular basis with Milken Institute staff based in other locations in the United States and around the world.
