Job summary

ArchKey Solutions in New Castle, PA is seeking an Associate Estimator to support preconstruction and project management with estimates, proposal and bid reviews, document reviews, cost value analysis, and bid processes for electrical, technologies, and specialty systems.

The ideal candidate will coordinate take-offs, gather subcontractor quotes, review bid documents with the project manager and chief estimator, and use estimating software to prepare accurate, buildable estimates while surveying

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in construction management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of electrical construction estimating experience.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to read electrical contracts, plans, drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plans and monitors estimating activities for quality and accuracy.
• Reviews bid documents and determines costs with PM and chief estimator.
• Utilizes estimating software to estimate projects.
• Surveys job sites as needed for scope and cost optimization.
• Prepares estimate documents accurately and professionally.
• Supports procurement and design teams to align estimates with constructability.
