Job summary

Venture Global LNG in Houston is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer to join our team. This role reports to the Director of Structural Engineering and will be located in our Downtown Houston office, Monday–Friday in-office.

Candidates should have 3–5 years in refining/petrochemical projects, LNG experience preferred, and be proficient with STAAD Pro, Navisworks, MicroStation, and AutoCAD; strong collaboration across disciplines is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in refining and petrochemical industries, LNG project experience preferred.
• Self-directs work with limited supervision.
• Collaborates with the project team and coordinates work within the discipline department.
• Adapts to varying demands and manages changes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Works across departments and initiates meetings for clarity on work.
• Acts as technical resource and primary contact for customers.
• Experience managing and responding to RFIs from owner's construction team, vendors, EPC contractors.
• Proficient with STAAD Pro, Risa, STAAD Foundation, 3D MathCAD.
• Proficient with Navisworks, MicroStation, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing engineers' and designers' documents for piling, foundations, and module-built steel structures.
• Reviewing, monitoring and ensuring compliance requirements are met for the design (standards, specs, local codes).
• Regularly reviews vendor documents to ensure specifications and data sheets are met.
• Consider multiple solutions and make good decisions based on data analysis.
• Manages several different assignments simultaneously.

Summary

We are seeking an Associate Structural Engineer for our team in Houston, Texas.

This position will report to the Director of Structural Engineering.

This position will be located on our Downtown Houston office. This is a Monday-Friday in-office position.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in the review of the work of engineers and designers developing engineering and design documents for Piling & Foundation and Module & Stick Built Steel Pipe Racks/Structures as needed for the project.
• Reviewing, monitoring and ensuring compliance requirements are met for the design (e.g. Standards, specification and local codes and regulations etc.)
• Regularly performs reviews of vendor documents to ensure specifications and data sheet requirements are met.
• Considers multiple solutions and makes good decisions based on good data analysis.
• Manages several different assignments simultaneously.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in refining and petrochemical industry, LNG Project preferably with EPC experience.
