Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking an Associate Engineer to join the Space & Defense team in Blacksburg, VA. The role focuses on supporting a slip ring production line and coordinating with outsource vendors, while developing and documenting manufacturing processes for a global team.

You will work under the Industrial and Technical Engineer Manager, reporting on site in Blacksburg, and require an associate degree with strong electrical/mechanical aptitude and excellent communication skills.

Associate Engineer

Our team in Space & Defense is looking for an Associate Engineer to join them. We are seeking a skilled individual with strong electrical and mechanical aptitude in manufacturing processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, adaptability, and quick learning are essential. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze situations promptly are required. If you can understand and communicate technical aspects effectively, please consider this role.

You will report to the Industrial and Technical Engineer Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, VA.

To be considered for Associate Engineer, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

As An Associate Engineer, You Will

• You will be the support to a slip ring production line, as well as Outsource Vendors.
• As the Associate Engineer you will be responsible for the manufacturing process development and documentation with a domestic and international team.
• Tasks will involve creating, contributing, and approving engineering and tool drawings, order and support manufacturing tooling, work instructions, labor standards, facility layout, quotes and continuous improvement.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical manufacturing design reviews and offer improvement suggestions for manufacturability.
• Enforcing and following policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements as they apply such as ITAR
• Providing reports to management on daily, weekly and monthly performance to schedules and expenditures
• Support technical exchange discussions with manufacturing engineers.
• Cross-training to help in other areas as needed

Salary Range Transparency

Blacksburg, VA $60,000.00–$75,000.00 Annually
