Job summary

Aligned Data Centers is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our design team. You will review electrical standards, support design deliverables, and assist with commissioning and reliability analyses across data-center projects.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 2+ years of data-center experience, and familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit. Travel up to 25% may be required; strong communication and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in data center electrical and mechanical design, construction and operations.
• EIT certification or FE test plan required.
• AutoCAD or Revit experience.
• Experience interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications.
• Ability to understand construction project scopes and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design: Review and support electrical technical standards and updates.
• Review and support each phase of design deliverables.
• Assist content preparation and presentation to achieve business approvals.
• Support conceptual/directional design decisions at inception.
• Review and support for major equipment product commitments.
• Execution: Review and support for commissioning scripts and procedures.
• Review and support for critical MOPs and commissioning reports.
• Assist with technical investigations and problem solving.
• Reliability: Provide technical support for site performance shortfalls and issue resolution.
• Translate electrical concepts clearly to non-technical partners across disciplines.

This individual will support the engineering team on Aligned’s technical topics and matters and will work directly with the internal and external design teams to ensure technical compliance. As a technical contributor, this individual will play a crucial role in a wide variety of responsibilities ranging from early-stage design direction, to validating installed conditions, to yearly site assessments, and evaluating next level technologies. Working cross functionally, this individual will raise Aligned’s technical capabilities and enhance performance across multiple work streams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design:

• Reviewandsupportforelectricaltechnicalstandards and updates.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degreeinElectricalEngineeringor equivalent.

• 2+ years ofexperience in data center or mission critical electrical and mechanical design,constructionand operations

• EIT certification or FE test planrequired

• AutoCAD or Revit experience

• Experiencewithinterpretingconstruction drawings and equipment specifications

• Ability to understand construction project scopes

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• May travel at times up to 25%
