Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City is seeking an Associate, Electrical Engineering to learn and contribute to designing and developing electrical systems for aircraft and ground stations.

You will create wiring diagrams, panels using CAD, and collaborate with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure cost-effective solutions while gaining exposure to avionics, RF, LAN, data processing and power distribution systems.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field or recent graduate (last 12 months)
• Experience with CAD/PLM in aerospace is preferred
• Familiarity with electrical/electronic equipment for aircraft or ground stations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, control panels and other items using CAD tools
• Coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing and Production to meet requirements at minimum cost
• Design Avionics Systems, RF, LAN, Data Processing, Power Distribution, Electrical Loads analysis and support testing/integration of aircraft systems

• Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off

Job Description: In this role, you will learn to design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electrical/electronic equipment on military/commercial aircraft and ground stations.

Essential Functions

• Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, control panels and other items using CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools
• Research and preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost
• Designs can include development of Avionics Systems, RF, LAN, Data Processing, Power Distribution Systems, Electrical Loads analysis, Load shedding scheme to name a few, along with the opportunity to support testing and integration of systems on the aircraft

Qualifications

• To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science or related field or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Skills/Knowledge of/with CAD and PLM software, including NX and Teamcenter
• Knowledge of Siemens Capital software
• Understanding of basic aircraft systems
• Systems integration experience
