Job summary

Moog is seeking an Associate Electrical Design Engineer for the Space and Defense Group to design, analyze, and test complex electronics for NASA, military, and commercial space applications. You will report to the Electrical Engineering Manager and work onsite in Buffalo, NY. The role requires a B.S.

in EE (MS preferred), the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance, and a proactive, analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment fostering knowledge sharing and innovation.
• Use CAD software to create detailed schematics, layouts, and simulation models for electrical designs, coordinating with senior engineers.
• Validate conceptual solutions with trade studies and analyses.
• Perform design analysis (signal integrity, stress, sensitivity, worst-case, deratings).
• Create and execute development test procedures for designs at circuit card, box, and system levels.
• Document designs, analyses, and test results clearly.
• Participate in failure investigations of hardware.
• Provide work estimates to support new proposals.

Moog's Space and Defense Group is looking for an Associate Electrical Design Engineer to perform the conceptual design, analysis, development, and testing of complex electronics used on NASA, military, and commercial space applications.

You will report to the Electrical Engineering Manager in the Actuation Systems business unit. This position requires a high degree of foresight and creativity to anticipate and solve unprecedented engineering problems.

To be considered for the Associate Electrical Design Engineer role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

• Bachelor Science in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred) or related field
• Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
• Self-motivated, critical thinking and strong analytical skills
• Ability to work onsite in East Aurora, NY (remote candidates will not be considered)

Preferred Qualifications include:

• Experience with circuit modelling and simulation
• Experience with schematic capture and printed circuit board layout (Allegro Capture CIS, PCB Editor preferred)
• Familiarity with analog and mixed signal circuit design

As the Associate Electrical Design Engineer, you will:

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $75,000.00-$100,000.00 Annually
