Historic New Orleans Collection seeks an associate editor, publications, to assist with editing and production of exhibitions and books. The role also supports administrative tasks to help the publishing program grow.
Responsibilities include editing content, coordinating with editors, designers and production staff, and helping with research and outreach efforts for new products such as audiobooks and e-books.
The associate editor, publications, is responsible for assisting with the editing and production of exhibitions and books at the Historic New Orleans Collection. This position is also responsible for assisting with administrative and organizational tasks.
Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, history, art history, American studies or a related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in editing and/or publishing.

This position consistently communicates with coworkers and others and observes, inspects, and assesses manuscripts, exhibition text, storyboards for interactive media, and other similar materials.
