Qualifications

• DVM degree from an AVMA-accredited program.
• Active/state veterinary licensure is required.
• DEA/BNDD eligibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and courteous presentation with clients and staff.
• Ability to lift patients up to 25 pounds; assist with heavier lifts.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat companion animals to detect and diagnose disease or injuries.
• Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results.
• Advise pet owners on preventive care and treatment options.
• Perform surgeries and prescribe medications as needed.
• Provide counseling on pet end-of-life care.
• Maintain accurate medical records for patients.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and applicable regulations.
