Job description

We are seeking an experienced, board-certified physician to join our team as a Disability Associate Medical Director in a part-time, independent contractor capacity.

Role Description

This role will provide clinical leadership and oversight in support of our Disability review programs, with a focus on physician reviewer performance, quality assurance, clinical guidance, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in Disability reviews, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in Medicine with a strong foundation in disability assessment and functional evaluation.
• Specialty training or experience in Cardiology for cases involving cardiovascular conditions impacting work capacity.
• Specialty training or experience in Neurology for evaluations related to neurological disorders and functional impairment.
• Specialty training or experience in Oncology for cases involving cancer diagnoses, treatment impact, and prognosis.
• Demonstrated experience working with physicians and interdisciplinary clinical teams in review or consultative settings.
• Active, unrestricted medical license (MD or DO) in good standing; board certification strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with IME, peer review, utilization review, or disability determination is highly beneficial.
• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce structured, evidence-based medical reports.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to impartiality, ethical practice, and adherence to applicable regulations and industry standards.
