Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Program Manager to support Solid Tumor Translational Development across multiple disease areas. You will partner with Translational Development leaders, biomarker leads, clinical and lab teams, and vendors to translate scientific priorities into actionable project plans and timelines.

Drive strategy execution for priority assets, coordinate biomarker activities, data delivery, and documentation of decisions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in operational, translational development, biomarker, or clinical development roles within a highly matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate scientific and operational priorities into clear plans, timelines, deliverables, owners, risks, decisions, and follow-up actions.
  • Experience coordinating translational, biomarker, or oncology programs with cross-functional partners, vendors, budgets, data transfers, and deliverable tracking.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels.
  • Ability to lead through influence in a virtual or matrixed team environment, building structure from ambiguity and driving progress without direct authority.
  • Skilled in managing complex internal and external relationships, including conflict management and third-party coordination.
  • Proficient with project management, visualization, and collaboration tools to organize timelines, meetings, documents, risks, decisions, and reporting.
  • Strategic, proactive mindset with governance awareness and process-improvement experience to support portfolio delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program management support for Solid Tumor Translational Development across asset, disease, and collaboration workstreams.
  • Partner with Translational Development leaders and cross-functional partners to translate priorities into clear project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Drive execution of translational strategies for priority solid tumor assets, including biomarker planning, sample analysis, assay/vendor coordination, data delivery, and decision documentation.
  • Support disease-area strategy and research groups by coordinating agendas, objectives, and timelines for priority Solid Tumor areas.
  • Maintain portfolio visibility across assets, indications, budgets, contracts, data transfers, and milestones using project management tools.
  • Coordinate biomarker budget planning and vendor-facing activities, including SOWs, PO amendments, and rate-card alignment.
  • Enable collaboration by coordinating sub-team meetings, sample/data logistics, and documentation readiness.
  • Coordinate biospecimen, informed-consent, and data-use workflows for internal and external studies.
  • Support biomarker data generation and reporting, including study report inputs and translational findings communication.
  • Facilitate publication and congress planning by tracking abstracts, authorship, and timelines.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase consistency and efficiency across the Solid Tumor PM team.

Job description

  • Provide program management support for Solid Tumor Translational Development teams across asset, disease, and collaboration-focused workstreams, including gastrointestinal/genitourinary, lung, breast, pancreatic, colorectal, and laboratory-enabled translational activities
  • Partner with Translational Development leaders, disease-area leads, biomarker leads, clinical teams, laboratory teams, data and analytics teams, operations, vendors, and other cross‑functional partners to translate scientific priorities into clear project plans, timelines, deliverables, owners, and decision points
  • Drive execution of translational strategies for priority Solid Tumor assets and studies, including biomarker strategy planning, sample analysis planning, assay/vendor coordination, data delivery, result review, and documentation of decisions and follow-up actions
  • Support disease-area strategy and research working groups by coordinating agendas, objectives, action items, stakeholder input, timelines, and deliverables for lung, gastrointestinal/colorectal, breast, pancreatic, and related Solid Tumor priorities
  • Maintain portfolio-level visibility across assigned assets, indications, biomarker deliverables, budgets, contracts, data transfers, governance milestones, publications, and congress submissions using appropriate project management and collaboration tools
  • Coordinate biomarker budget planning and vendor-facing activities, including sample-volume estimates, assay cost assumptions, statements of work, purchase orders, contract amendments, rate-card alignment, and budget scenario updates
  • Enable internal and external collaboration execution by coordinating sub-team meetings, sample and data logistics, analysis-plan inputs, shared documentation, contact lists, and cross-functional follow-up
  • Coordinate biospecimen, informed-consent, and data-use workflows for internal and external studies, including specimen-use requests, sample manifests, shipment and logistics planning, data-transfer requirements, and documentation readiness
  • Support biomarker data generation and reporting by coordinating dataset readiness, quality-control and review milestones, biomarker study report inputs, clinical study report support, decision‑making preparation, and internal communication of key translational findings
  • Facilitate publication and congress planning by tracking abstracts, authorship, timelines, data-readiness needs, review/approval steps, and alignment with asset, disease‑area, and collaboration priorities
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase consistency, transparency, and efficiency across the Solid Tumor PM team, including templates, trackers, meeting operating models, budget tools, and portfolio reporting approaches
Requirements
  • B.S. or M.S. in a scientific discipline; project management certification or equivalent project management experience is desirable
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry experience in operational, scientific, translational development, biomarker, or clinical development roles within a highly matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects by translating scientific and operational priorities into clear plans, timelines, deliverables, owners, risks, decisions, and follow-up actions
  • Experience supporting translational, biomarker, or oncology programs, including coordination of cross-functional partners, vendors, external collaborators, budgets, contracts, data transfers, and deliverable tracking
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, align, and connect scientific, operational, clinical, and external partners at multiple levels
  • Ability to lead through influence in a virtual or matrixed team environment, building structure from ambiguity and driving progress without direct authority
