Salary Range: $153,600 – $241,340

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced leader in statistics and quantitative sciences to join a global, research-driven biopharmaceutical organization. The role supports the application of advanced data and analytics to accelerate the development of innovative therapies, ensuring that patients have timely access to safe and effective treatments.

The team works across multiple quantitative disciplines—including statistics, programming, epidemiology, outcomes research, clinical pharmacology, digital strategy, library sciences, and data architecture/governance—to deliver insights that inform clinical development programs. This role requires strong collaboration with global project teams and external partners to drive the execution of clinical strategies and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead statistical and quantitative initiatives for one or more clinical assets or specialized areas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, R&D, and external partners, to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
  • Develop and implement asset-level strategies, identify risks, and oversee mitigation efforts.
  • Promote continuous improvement in methodologies and delivery processes.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for junior colleagues, fostering teamwork and knowledge-sharing.
  • Support the design of clinical trials, data analysis plans, and regulatory submissions.
  • Translate complex statistical findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.
Core Qualifications
  • Advanced understanding of clinical trial design, statistical methodology, and data interpretation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and guidelines (e.g., FDA, ICH) applicable to clinical trials.
  • Strong expertise in statistical programming and quantitative analysis.
  • Experience across multiple therapeutic areas or phases of drug development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
Technical Expertise
  • Recognized subject matter expert in multiple quantitative or statistical domains.
  • Scientific understanding of drug development to provide methodological input to product teams.
  • Capable of evaluating innovative approaches and applying fit-for-purpose methods to clinical programs.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-specialists.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Lead one or more clinical assets or specialized project areas.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and promote alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee small teams or matrixed colleagues, providing mentorship and development guidance.
  • Establish internal and external influence in areas of expertise.
Education & Experience
  • PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related quantitative field with approximately 5 years of relevant experience.
  • OR MS in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Inspire teamwork and collaboration.
  • Assess risks and benefits of alternative approaches.
  • Understand broader business implications beyond immediate responsibilities.
  • Maintain focus on priorities and deliver results.
