Job summary

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business seeks an Associate Director, Research Support to guide and support research staff and five tenure-line faculty. The role includes recruitment processes, Workday management, and developing programs for staff and alumni in the Expanding Discovery in Economics+ initiative.

Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, with experience in higher education and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5–7 years of work experience in a related field.
• Experience in higher education or nonprofit setting preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support faculty in recruiting, hiring, onboarding research staff.
• Coordinate Workday and performance engagement processes.
• Develop and maintain content for Booth research staff websites and events.
• Design and execute programming for research staff and mentorship programs.
• Provide SSRN administrative support and manage faculty administrative needs.
• Support grant management, data handling, and literature reviews.
• Oversee day-to-day administrative and financial operations for faculty groups and budgets.
