Job summary

EAB is seeking an Associate Director, Research Advisory Services to lead advisory work for higher education institutions, delivering strategy, fundraising, and donor engagement guidance. You will work with boards, presidents, and senior leaders to advance financial sustainability and mission-aligned goals.

You will travel 40-50% and spend about 80% time in market, engaging partners in-person and virtually, with potential base in Washington, DC; Richmond, VA; or remote within the continental US.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of post-graduate experience; or 4+ years with an advanced degree.
  • Experience with client executives at colleges, universities, or as a consultant/advisor.
  • Superior verbal, written, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to craft compelling narratives through data visualization, graphics, and slides.
  • Excellent relationship-building and collaboration with senior-level executives.

Responsibilities

  • Terrain Mastery: build expertise across terrains and deliver strategic guidance to university executives.
  • Content Delivery: diagnose client problems, guide decisions, and present EAB’s insights via calls, meetings, conferences, and on campus presentations.
  • Collaborate with research customer success and support sales in new partner development.
  • Generate original insights in assigned areas and share market trends with colleagues.
