Job summary

Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) in New York seeks an experienced front-line fundraiser to expand donor networks and lead campaign activities across chapters. You will cultivate relationships with donors and manage outreach to maximize giving.

The role emphasizes major gifts, donor stewardship, and coordinating donor events, with flexible hours including some evenings and weekends, and occasional travel within the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years front-line fundraising experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; inspiring presentation能力.

• Experience using donor management databases to maximize fundraising results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Raiser’s Edge knowledge a plus.

• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and travel within the area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and cultivate one-to-one relationships with donors across donor levels.
• Identify prospective donors through analysis, networking, outreach, and engagement.
• Coordinate fundraising activities including events, parlor meetings, and campaigns.
• Solicit donations according to annual work plan and goals.
• Build and support a cadre of volunteers for donor solicitation and stewardship.
• Assist with foundations cultivation and recognition campaigns.
• Work evening and weekend events; some travel within the area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• A minimum of 5 years front-line fundraising experience.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written; skill in presenting oneself and communication in a manner that is clear, effective and inspiring.
• Excellent interpersonal diplomatic skills, along with the ability to lead with integrity and inspiration; must be flexible and able to work with volunteer lay leaders.
• Possess high levels of enthusiasm and energy; be self-motivated, organized and able to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects at one time.
• A passion for the FIDF mission and the ability to communicate it and influence others.
• Experience using donor management database systems to maximize fundraising results.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); Raiser’s Edge database knowledge a plus, or similar CRM.
• Experience writing and creating engaging newsletters and/or brag sheets for donors.
• Demonstrated experience using social media as a platform to promote and communicate chapter and National events.

• Participate in active solicitation of existing and potential donors according to an annual work plan and fundraising goal.
• Develop and support a cadre of volunteers to assist with donor solicitation, engagement, and stewardship.
• Assist with the cultivation of Foundations
• Develop an online and offline recognition campaign.
• Work during some evening and weekend events.
• Some travel within the area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
