Job summary

BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. seeks an Associate Director, Corporate Counsel, Product and Commercial to lead legal reviews of advertising and external communications.

This role supports marketing, sales, market access, medical affairs, and corporate communications in complex regulatory matters. The successful candidate will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, advise on compliance programs, and collaborate with global teams to navigate FDA, anti‑kickback, and related healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• JD degree and active bar license.
• 3–7 years of experience in pharma/healthcare legal/compliance required or welcome in-house/regulatory settings.
• Experience with pipeline and marketed brand support, enforcement trends, and industry guidance.

Responsibilities

• Counsel internal stakeholders regarding advertising, promotion, external communications, FDA/industry guidance, and healthcare regulations.
• Serve as Legal reviewer across MLR committees for assigned products and disease states.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts to support BioMarin’s Commercial organization.
• Provide analysis, guidance, and training to Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Corporate Communications.
