The University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee is seeking an Early Childhood Education Associate Director for the preschool program. You will provide operational and educational leadership, oversee curriculum, staffing, and regulatory compliance, and support professional growth for staff.

You will collaborate with families, campus partners, and community agencies to advance children’s learning, including those with diverse needs, while aligning with accreditation standards and institutional goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or elementary education.
  • 3–5 years of experience teaching in an ECE environment.
  • At least 3 years directly supervising in an early learning environment.
  • Knowledge of services in the CLC community for learning needs or disabilities.
  • Working understanding of ADA and IDEA as they apply to early learning programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee curriculum implementation and classroom operations for preschool.
  • Supervise preschool educators and support their professional growth.
  • Lead budget planning, enrollment support, and policy development.
  • Ensure licensing, accreditation documentation, and program reporting.
  • Coordinate with families, campus partners, and community agencies.
  • Maintain compliance with NAEYC standards and state regulations.
