Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations and performance management of patient support, copay, and specialty pharmacy fee-for-service programs.
  • Analyze copay claims, enrollment, utilization, patient out-of-pocket costs, program spend, and KPIs to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.
  • Develop recurring and ad hoc copay analyses for design, forecasting, budgets, and mitigations.
  • Translate complex copay data into insights for Brand, Finance, Market Access, and senior leadership.
  • Partner with copay, hub, and specialty pharmacy vendors to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Monitor program performance against service levels, budgets, forecasts, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify emerging utilization patterns and financial risks, coordinating corrective actions.
  • Support evaluation and implementation of copay program changes, including financial modeling and post-implementation monitoring.
  • Develop and manage monitoring programs for Patient Services and Specialty Pharmacy programs.

Position Location:

This position will be located at the Princeton, NJ US Headquarters site. Our Sandoz flexible hybrid working approach allows US office-based employees to work up to 50% of their monthly workday remotely. This role will not have the ability to be located remotely. Preference will be given to local candidates not requiring relocation.

Major Accountabilities / Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • * Lead the day-to-day operations and performance management of assigned patient support, copay, and specialty pharmacy fee-for-service programs.

  • * Analyze copay claims, enrollment, utilization, patient out-of-pocket costs, program spend, and other key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities.

  • * Develop recurring and ad hoc copay analyses that support program design, offer structure, forecasting, budget management, and mitigation strategies.

  • * Translate complex copay and patient services data into clear insights and recommendations for Brand, Finance, Market Access, and senior leadership.

  • * Partner with copay, hub, and specialty pharmacy vendors to ensure data is accurate, complete, timely, and suitable for business decision-making.

  • * Monitor program performance against established service levels, budgets, forecasts, business rules, and compliance requirements.

  • * Identify emerging utilization patterns, financial risks, claim anomalies, and operational issues, and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.

  • * Support the evaluation and implementation of copay program changes, including financial modeling, business rationale development, and post-implementation monitoring.

  • * Develop and manage monitoring programs for Patient Services and Specialty Pharmacy programs.

  • * Communicate program performance, monitoring outcomes, risks, and recommended actions to key stakeholders and senior leadership.

Key Capabilities Required:
  • Copay analytics and optimization: Apply claims, enrollment, utilization, and financial data to evaluate copay program performance, identify patient access and cost trends, and recommend program design or mitigation strategies.

  • Data visualization and reporting: Develop clear dashboards, performance reports, and executive-ready analyses that communicate key trends, risks, financial impacts, and recommended actions.

  • Financial management: Monitor program spend, develop forecasts, assess potential budget impacts, and provide timely alerts regarding emerging financial risks or overages.

  • Program operations: Lead the day-to-day operations of assigned patient support, copay, and specialty pharmacy programs in accordance with business rules and applicable safety, legal, regulatory, and quality requirements.

  • Vendor management: Serve as a primary liaison with hub, copay, and specialty pharmacy partners. Ensure vendors meet service levels, reporting requirements, and data-quality expectations.

  • Continuous improvement: Use program data and operational insights to identify improvement opportunities, develop supporting business rationales, and coordinate implementation across stakeholders.

  • Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate with Brand, Finance, Market Access, Legal, Compliance, Safety, Quality, and Data Management to align program strategy, operations, analytics, and reporting.

  • Pharmacovigilance and compliance: Partner with vendors and internal teams to ensure adverse events and product complaints are reported appropriately and required audits and monitoring activities are completed

What you'll bring to the role:
Required Qualifications: Education & Experience
  • BA/BS Degree

  • Minimum of 7 years industry experience in a role responsible for patient support and/or specialty pharmacy fee for service agreements

Preferred Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of current patient and specialty support programs in the space and best in class solutions highly preferred.

  • Extensive knowledge of applicable rules and regulations governing pharmaceutical manufacturer patient support and specialty pharmacy agreements.

  • Experience in driving process improvements including identification of improvement opportunities, documenting the business case and rationale, and gathering support from across the organization highly preferred.

  • Experience with both pharmacy and buy and bill products preferred.

  • Experience analyzing pharmaceutical copay program claims, utilization, patient out-of-pocket costs, program spend, and financial performance.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $141,500 - $262,900 USD/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/26 through 12/31/26, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
