Associate Director, Orchestration Engine – Business Lead
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you will serve as the dedicated Orchestration Engine business lead for Amgen’s diverse portfolio, helping brand teams shape more relevant, coordinated customer experiences across channels.
Reporting to the Director, End-to-End Capabilities – Orchestration Engine, you will translate portfolio and brand priorities into clear business requirements, governed decision logic, and scalable orchestration capabilities. You will partner with brand teams, Decision Sciences, Technology, CRM, CDP, content, channel, and vendor teams to design and deploy capabilities spanning Next Best Action, audience activation, customer journey orchestration, and workflow automation.
You will act as the business product owner for the assigned portfolio—coordinating brand engagement, use-case definition, requirements, deployment readiness, and adoption. You will ensure that individual brand needs contribute to reusable enterprise orchestration capabilities and decisioning patterns rather than isolated, one-time solutions.
Through strong business partnership and matrixed leadership, you will help embed intelligence into Marketing workflows and enable Amgen to deliver the right action, to the right stakeholder, at the right time.
This role is a Flexible Commuter role to one of two U.S. sites, Thousand Oaks, California, or Deerfield, Illinois. You will work on-site a minimum of three days per week.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
