The University of Texas at Austin’s Jackson School of Geosciences seeks an Associate Director of Development and Alumni Relations to lead frontline fundraising and alumni engagement. You’ll grow major gift activity and align donor programs with school priorities.

The Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin is among the most well established and well regarded geoscience programs in the world. The Jackson School is both old and new. It traces its origins to a Department of Geology founded in 1888 but became a separate unit at the level of a college on September 1, 2005. The school's formation resulted from one of the most generous gifts in the history of higher education when the late John A. and Katherine G. Jackson bequeathed endowments and assets to the university presently valued at over $300 million.
To serve as the Associate Director of Development on the Jackson School's development and alumni relations team. Successful candidates will work closely with the College and focus on identifying and cultivating prospects with a capacity of $25,000+ with an emphasis on soliciting gifts from $25,000 to $100,000+.

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
$85,000 + depending on qualifications
Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers. Staff who are promotion/transfer eligible may apply for positions without supervisor approval.
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
