AdvanceCT in New Haven, CT seeks an Associate Director of Business Development to lead outreach to industry leaders, secure new business, and attract jobs and investment for Connecticut. You will manage a growing pipeline, negotiate deals, and collaborate with state partners on incentives.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree or 7+ years in BD, strong communication and relationship-building skills, willingness to travel, and a track record of delivering measurable economic impact.

Working closely with the Business Development team, the Associate Director builds relationships with industry leaders and executives to bring new business, jobs, and investment to Connecticut. Approximately 80% of the role is business attraction — identifying and engaging companies across target industries that are evaluating expansion or relocation in Connecticut. The remaining 20% supports retention and expansion work with companies already established in the state. This is an opportunity to play a direct role in some of the business decisions that shape Connecticut's economic future.
