Job summary

Temple-Health seeks an Associate Director of Nursing Services for 6 East Pulmonary. This full-time, day-shift role leads nursing care on a dedicated unit, driving quality and adherence to standards.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, you will manage staffing, budgeting, staff education, policy development, and performance improvement to elevate clinical practice and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
• Master's Degree in Nursing or healthcare field is preferred.
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing care on the unit and maintain standards of practice.
• Develop evidence-based policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure quality patient care.
• Direct staffing, budgeting, expense control, and staff development.
• Lead performance improvement and HR management activities; supervise and counsel nursing staff.

Under the direction of the Director, Nursing, the Associate Director provides oversight of the nursing care provided to patients on a nursing unit. Maintains standards of service excellence and nursing practice. Develops evidenced based policies, procedures, and work processes to ensure provision of quality patient care. Responsible for staffing, budget, control of expenses, continuing development and education of staff, performance improvement, and human resource management. Supervises, evaluates, guides and counsels nursing staff in their work performance. National certification in Nursing or Healthcare related specialty preferred. Works in a leadership team model to provide guidance and leadership to staff in pursuit of unparalleled excellence.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required
• Other Graduate of accredited school of nursing Required
• Master's Degree Nursing or Healthcare related field Preferred or
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required

Experience

• 2 years experience as a RN in a clinical specialty area Required
• 1 year experience in a clinical leadership role Preferred
