Our product candidates include budoprutug, an anti-CD19 monoclonal antibody that presents us with an exciting opportunity given its broad potential applicability across a number of B-cell mediated diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus, immune thrombocytopenia, and membranous nephropathy and CLYM116, an anti-APRIL monoclonal antibody in preclinical development for IgA nephropathy.

At Climb Bio, our team has a knack for seeing what no one else sees—and a drive to achieve results no one expects. We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Director, Medical Communications. Reporting to the VP Clinical Development, this role is responsible for the development and execution of strategic and tactical scientific communication initiatives across all Climb Bio programs. The ideal candidate has deep scientific expertise, strong project management skills, and experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced biotech environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation and execution of the global medical communication strategy across development programs (IND to Phase 3)
  • Develop high-quality, scientifically accurate medical content including slide decks, FAQs, publications, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts
  • Partner with Clinical Development, Regulatory, Program Management, and Corporate Development to ensure consistency and alignment across all external communications
  • Oversee the development and management of Scientific Communication Platforms (SCPs) and Lexicon/Glossary documents for key programs
  • Manage publication planning and execution in alignment with GPP and ICMJE guidelines
  • Support advisory boards and investigator meetings
  • Lead strategic planning and execution of medical and scientific congresses, including abstract submissions, symposia, booth activities and KOL engagement
  • Support the development and maintenance of a dynamic KOL profiling strategy to identify, segment, and prioritize key external experts
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop training materials for field medical and commercial teams
  • Ensure all content is compliant with regulatory requirements and company standards
  • Manage external vendors and medical writers as needed

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) in life sciences or related field required
  • 5+ years of relevant medical communications experience in biotech/pharma, CRO, or agency setting
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, impactful communication for scientific and clinical audiences
  • Experience supporting programs at various stages of development, including IND, Phase 1–3, and NDA/BLA preparations
  • Solid understanding of GCP, ICH, GPP, and regulatory requirements for scientific communication
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and manage multiple priorities
  • Prior experience managing publication planning and congress activities preferred
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to operate in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
