Qualifications

Purpose

Drives marketing strategy for brand(s). Provides positive leadership and productive influence across and around enterprise. Leverage data, analytics and strategic mind‑set in all aspects of running the marketing component of the business. Exhibits P&L mindset. Effectively orchestrate work across internal teams and external partners including agencies, etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of the brand strategy including generation of key marketing insights and implications, gap analysis, market research plan and strategic brand plan.
  • Understand trends in the oncology marketplace using patient and data driven strategic insights to apply on an on‑going basis to the marketing plan.
  • Develops and articulates effective marketing strategies that are impactful, executable, and easily communicated to senior leadership (Annual Brand and Tactical Planning).
  • Demonstrates ability to segment a market, select optimal target audiences and position effectively for the target segment.
  • Creates high‑impact personal and non‑personal promotional tactics and material that support strategic objectives.
  • Lead and manage indirect teams, and external partnerships to execute key marketing initiatives.
  • Continually evaluates and applies knowledge of the effectiveness (share impact/ROI) and efficiency (expense control) of promotional tactics.
    • Uses appropriate data sources to evaluate effectiveness of promotion (ROI/share impact analysis) and develop business strategy.
  • Effectively manages projects to deliver high-quality work product in a timely fashion (meets deadlines).
  • Effectively collaborates with market research and analytics team in primary and secondary research projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 9+ years of brand marketing experience or 7+ years of pharmaceutical / biotechnology / medical device marketing experience.
  • Ability to understand and translate medical/clinical aspects of a pharmaceutical product and its application to marketing strategy.
  • Significant experience achieving results with team collaboration and influencing matrix partners.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with senior management and external partners.
  • People management experience.
  • Cross‑functional and/or similar experiences including collaborating with field sales, finance, regulatory, research & development and other relevant business functions.
Preferred
  • Previous experience within Oncology/rare disease is preferred with at least 5+ years of experience in either sales or marketing (hematology experience strongly preferred).
  • Must have the ability to effectively collaborate with, motivate and influence various levels/grades within the organization and outside of the organization.
  • MBA and/or scientific background and/or Global experience.
  • Experience working in a joint venture commercial partnership.
  • Experience managing various agencies (e.g. digital, advertising, etc).
