Job summary

Northwestern University seeks an Associate Director of Donor Engagement in its San Francisco Regional Office to plan, manage, and execute high-level donor events. The role collaborates with Major Gift Officers and the Donor Engagement team to deepen donor relationships and advance fundraising priorities.

The position requires strategic planning, event execution, budget oversight, and strong relationship-building skills in a hybrid work environment. Occasional evenings or weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and database software.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements event strategies aligned with priorities.
• Plans and leads high-level events involving top stakeholders.
• Oversees venue management, catering, A/V, invitations, and vendor contracts.
• Manages budgets, timelines, post-event reconciliation, and follow-up.
• Mentor junior staff and leverage technology for outreach.
