Job Description Summary The Associate Director, Government Pricing is responsible for overseeing government pricing calculations, compliance, reporting, and strategic support for pharmaceutical products participating in U.S. federal and state healthcare programs.

Position Location: This position will be located at the Princeton, NJ US Headquarters site. Our Sandoz flexible hybrid working approach allows US office-based employees to work up to 50% of their monthly workday remotely. This role will not have the ability to be located remotely. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available for this role now or in the future.

Major Accountabilities / Your Key Responsibilities
  • Government Pricing Operations and Execution: Manage day-to-day execution of Government Pricing calculations and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance across federal and state programs including Medicaid, Medicare, 340B, FSS, and other government channels.
  • Ensure timely and accurate statutory pricing submissions and supporting documentation to government agencies.
  • Oversee operational processes supporting Government Pricing programs, including rebate calculations, chargeback reconciliation, price validations, and contract-related pricing analytics.
  • Maintain compliance with government pricing regulations and internal control frameworks, including SOX requirements.
  • Support audits, government inquiries, and internal assessments related to Government Pricing activities.
Gross-to-Net Analytics and Financial Insights
  • Support development and maintenance of Gross-to-Net (GTN) models and reporting, enabling financial forecasting and pricing analytics across government channels.
  • Provide analytical support to Market Access and Finance teams to evaluate pricing strategies, contracting decisions, and portfolio initiatives.
  • Monitor pricing trends, rebate activity, and contract performance to identify risks and opportunities impacting GTN performance.
  • Deliver data-driven insights regarding government pricing impacts on revenue and profitability.
Regulatory Monitoring and Implementation
  • Implement support of regulatory changes through updates to policies, procedures, reporting methodologies, and system configurations.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure operational alignment with current regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain current documentation and procedural controls supporting Government Pricing compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Market Access, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Contracting, and Commercial Operations teams to align pricing operations with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Government Pricing calculations, methodologies, and reporting obligations.
  • Support product launches, business development initiatives, contracting strategies, and system enhancement projects.
Process Improvement and Systems Optimization
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve Government Pricing processes, reporting workflows, and data integrity.
  • Support implementation, enhancement, and optimization of Government Pricing systems and technology platforms (e.g., Model N, Revitas, SAP).
  • Promote operational efficiency, data accuracy, and robust internal controls throughout Government Pricing processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation, analytics, and process standardization.
Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead and develop analysts and managers responsible for Government Pricing reporting, analytics, and operational support.
  • Provide coaching, technical guidance, and development opportunities to strengthen team expertise and performance.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and ensure timely achievement of critical deliverables.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and compliance excellence.

  • Government Pricing Expertise: Strong knowledge of U.S. Government Pricing regulations, methodologies, and reporting requirements, including AMP, Best Price, Medicaid Rebates, 340B, FSS, and Non-FAMP calculations.
  • Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge: Ability to interpret healthcare legislation and regulatory guidance and translate requirements into compliant operational processes.
  • Financial and Analytical Acumen: Advanced analytical skills with experience in Gross-to-Net forecasting, pricing analytics, rebate forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Operational Excellence: Demonstrated success driving process improvements, system enhancements, and data quality initiatives within complex operational environments.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and influence decisions across Finance, Market Access, Legal, Compliance, and Commercial organizations.
Job Dimensions

Direct leadership responsibility for Government Pricing personnel, including approximately 1-2 direct reports and 4-8 team members. Accountability for Government Pricing calculations, reporting processes, compliance controls, and operational execution. Significant collaboration with Market Access, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Contracting, and Commercial Operations teams. Supports enterprise Government Pricing strategy, analytics, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

What you’ll bring to the role

Required Qualifications: Experience 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. 5+ years of progressive Government Pricing experience, including reimbursement, rebates, chargebacks, and Gross-to-Net economics. Demonstrated expertise in Government Pricing calculations, methodologies, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations. Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional initiatives. Experience evaluating pricing implications of contracting strategies, product launches, and portfolio decisions. Understanding of U.S. healthcare regulations and legislation and their impact on Government Pricing operations. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical pricing dynamics, reimbursement structures, and healthcare economics. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment while maintaining operational excellence.

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Economics, or related field; Advanced degree (MBA, MS, CPA) preferred.

Preferred Requirements
  • Prior experience managing Government Pricing analysts and managers.
  • Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical marketplace dynamics and market access strategies.
  • Experience supporting GTN forecasting, accounting, and reporting for branded, biosimilar, and generic products.
  • Strong understanding of analytics, reporting technologies, and digital solutions.
  • Proficiency with life sciences applications including Model N, Revitas, SAP, and related Government Pricing platforms.

  • The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $145,600 - 270,400; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/26 through 12/31/26, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign‑on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
  • Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
