Qualifications

Job description

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Every member of our Madrigal team is connected by our shared purpose: leading the fight against MASH. Madrigal’s medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c). Our success is driven by our people. Key Responsibilities and Primary Activities
  • Content Development
    • Create, adapt, and distribute content across multiple channels to deliver consistent and impactful information for scientific exchange
    • Assist in the development of comprehensive content strategies that leverage digital and omnichannel approaches to enhance engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with scientific communication platform within compliance and practice standards
    • Determine scientific accuracy, stakeholder relevance, and appropriateness of the various formats utilized across all the scientific content materials
    • Obtain timely feedback and approval to make adjustment to scientific content materials
    • Uphold unwavering commitment to scientific rigor and data-driven decision-making
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Partner closely with colleagues within Scientific Communications, Content and Training including the Training managers
    • Partner with internal cross-functional and regional teams to align content priorities
    • Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed to support deliverables
    • Contribute to launch readiness and support lifecycle medical affairs activities in alignment with strategic objectives
  • Strategic Planning and Alignment
    • Support the identification and prioritization of scientific content needs of internal and external stakeholders, including Health Systems content, as appropriate
    • Ensure content planning is aligned with Madrigal Medical Affairs strategies and Scientific Communication platforms
  • Congress & External Engagement
    • Contribute to U.S. and global medical congress activities, as needed, including support for scientific content and training
  • Compliance & Quality
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards, Madrigal policies, ethical guidelines, and proper utilization of the escalation process
    • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all external engagements
  • Travel Requirement
    • Willingness to travel up to 30% for conferences, various corporate locations, and stakeholder meetings, including overnight trips
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Advanced degree in a scientific or healthcare discipline (BSc, MD, PharmD, PhD, DNP, etc.)
  • Rich scientific background capabilities derived from experience or clinical practice
  • A minimum of 3 years headquarters work and/or Scientific Content experience
  • Proven ability to understand, communicate, and translate complex scientific information
  • Knowledge of Scientific Content and Communication trends and landscape
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, lead and create scientific content
  • Emphasis on providing leadership though factual evidence gathering influencing and inspiring cross-functional teams to drive innovation and achieve goals
  • Ability to interact and strategize with leadership and stakeholders across the business
  • Strong knowledge of US/EU healthcare systems, global regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, CE), and medical affairs compliance standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, virtual communication platforms (e.g., Zoom), and CRM systems (e.g., Veeva)

  • In-depth knowledge of liver disease; experience in cardiometabolic health or metabolic dysfunction–associated steatohepatitis (MASH)
