Job summary

Abacus Group is seeking an Associate Director, Financial Reporting & Analysis for their client in Purchase, NY. The role focuses on SEC reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to drive strategic decision-making.

You will strengthen internal controls (SOX), manage equity compensation, and coordinate with external advisors for tax compliance. Strong Big 4 background and CPA are preferred; 5–10 years FP&A experience required.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of FP&A experience.
• Experience in public company/SEC reporting.
• Big 4 or National accounting background required.
• Biotech/pharma exposure preferred.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compile SEC filings and public reporting documents (10-K, 10-Q, S-3, proxy statements, earnings releases).
• Analyze performance via budgeting, forecasting and FP&A activities.
• Construct financial models to support clinical study forecasting and operations decisions.
• Coordinate with external advisors for federal/state tax compliance.
• Maintain internal control processes and SOX compliance programs.
• Administer equity compensation programs (grants, exercises, terminations).
• Oversee procurement and contract management to ensure accounting compliance.
• Deliver insights using financial systems and reporting tools.
• Prepare board and audit committee materials and align financial objectives.
• Enhance FP&A processes and support month-end close.

• Compile SEC filings and public reporting documents, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, S-3, proxy statements, and earnings releases
