Together, we help our clients:

About The Role:

As a Norstella Associate Director, Epidemiology & HEOR Consulting, you will support the design and execution of real-world evidence, epidemiology, and health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) engagements for life sciences clients. You will serve as a scientific and methodological contributor, helping translate client business and evidence needs into rigorous, fit-for-purpose research approaches that leverage real-world data.

You will provide methodological support across study design, protocol development, analysis, interpretation, and communication of findings, working under the guidance of Directors and senior scientific leaders while increasingly taking ownership of discrete workstreams. You will partner with Commercial teams to support the scoping of new opportunities and the development of proposals and will begin building your own presence in client discussions as your experience grows.

This role is well-suited for an epidemiologist or HEOR professional who is looking to deepen their consulting and client-facing skills, wants exposure to a broad range of therapeutic areas and real-world data sources, and is motivated by mentoring junior colleagues while continuing to build toward broader scientific and strategic leadership.

Key Responsibilities – Scientific & Methodological Delivery
  • Support the design of epidemiology, RWE, and HEOR study protocols, analysis plans, and statistical analysis approaches.
  • Contribute methodological expertise across study design, data source selection, analysis, and interpretation of real-world data.
  • Help ensure scientific rigor and quality across assigned engagements and workstreams.
  • Synthesize findings into clear, client-ready deliverables, including reports, manuscripts, and presentations.

Required Experience
  • Master's degree in epidemiology, public health, health economics, biostatistics, or a related field (PhD a plus).

  • Hands‑on experience with real‑world data sources (e.g., open claims, closed claims, EMR, registries).
  • Experience contributing to study design, protocol development, and analytic execution.
  • Exposure to proposal development and business development support is a plus.
  • Some experience mentoring or guiding junior staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, client‑ready deliverables.
