Merck & Co. is seeking an Associate Director of Data Science for US Market Engagement in US Oncology, Digital Human Health. The role partners with US commercial teams to drive data-driven insights to inform launch and go-to-market strategies.

The candidate will build targeting and segmentation models for Oncology, collaborate with central Data Science and Pune teams, and lead predictive analytics using Python, R, SAS, and SQL, with emphasis on automation and AI enablement.

Qualifications

• BS in Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, CS, Statistics, or related discipline.
• 5+ years delivering complex analytics in pharma, biotech, consulting or healthcare.
• Strong programming and data storytelling skills with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data across disparate sources to develop actionable insights for commercial strategies.
• Translate business needs into analytical plans and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including market research, forecasting, and data strategy.
• Stay current with industry trends and GenAI applications to enhance analytics capabilities.
• Lead innovative experiments and define measurable criteria for improvements.
