Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior leader to define analytics strategy and drive data-driven decision making across the business. The role leads data science and platform engineering to shift the commercial model from reactive to proactive, deploying real-time predictive platforms and AI discovery tools.

You will modernize data architectures for cloud migrations, mentor a high-performing team, and embed Claude Code into engineering workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in data science, software Eng, or related roles.
• Experience with quantitative modeling, statistics, or data mining.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing technical teams of data scientists, ML engineers, or software engineers.
• Coding experience with Python, FastAPI, React, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP BigQuery.
• Hands-on experience building real-time recommendation engines and anomaly detection models.

Job description

• Lead data science and platform engineering initiatives to shift the commercial model from reactive to proactive
• Deploy real-time predictive platforms and build autonomous AI discovery tools
• Modernize data architectures for enterprise cloud and CRM migrations
• Own and lead the data science engineering team, including planning, coaching, mentoring, and performance assessment
• Embed generative AI capabilities such as Claude Code into daily engineering workflows
• Translate business challenges and rep or analyst pain points into automated sales plays, targeted campaigns, and personalized recommendations
• Build real-time Next Best Action recommendation scoring pipelines across multiple hierarchy grains
• Build business cases and translate analytical findings into practical business implications
• Ensure recommendation engines generate sales plays, leads, and personalized actions at business, account, line, ECPD, NASP, and BUID levels
• Drive analytics adoption in decision making
• Manage third-party data vendor integrations and automate refresh cycles

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
• Eight or more years of relevant experience required, through work and/or military experience or specialized training
• Experience with quantitative modeling, statistics, or data mining
• Experience with third-party B2B data, including firmographics, contact details, technographics, and buyer intent signals
• Experience leading, coaching, managing, and developing technical teams of data scientists, machine learning engineers, or software engineers
• Coding experience with Python, FastAPI, React, SQL, and RESTful APIs
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP BigQuery
• Experience with multi-tenant routing architectures and enterprise Data Catalogs
• Hands-on experience building real-time recommendation engines, multi-dimension feature vectors, and anomaly detection models
• Experience using GenAI/LLM tools such as Claude Code
• Experience in cloud infrastructure cost governance, including JSON caching, cache-first scoring, and prompt batching
• Demonstrated communication, cross-functional leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to resolve executive escalations
