Job summary

DEPT® is seeking an Associate Director, Creative to define the aesthetic direction for major accounts and lead a team of designers and art directors. You will ensure every touchpoint, from social content to campaigns, is visually stunning and strategically sound.

You will bridge big ideas and execution, while mentoring a team to elevate output and maintain high-quality craft across platforms. Remote, high-impact role with global clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in art direction or design within a creative agency or high-growth brand environment or related field.
• Mastery of art direction, layout, typography, and integrated visual storytelling across platforms.
• Experience leading small teams or overseeing freelancers and junior creatives.
• Expert knowledge of design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) and motion design or AI image generation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the visual evolution of brands, overseeing art direction for pitches and flagship projects to world-class standards.
• Mentor and guide junior to mid-level Art Directors and Designers, providing craft-based feedback.
• Own the visual narrative across multi-channel campaigns to ensure cohesive look and feel.
• Oversee production visuals from photographer selection to color grading and motion design to match the creative vision.
• Present design systems and art direction in client meetings, explaining the 'why' behind visuals.
• Collaborate with Creative leadership to evolve workflows, standards, and adopt new tools/AI tech.
• Foster an inclusive, design-forward culture encouraging experimentation and learning.
