Job Summary

We are seeking a senior credit analyst with 5+ years of project finance related experience in the infrastructure sector. The successful candidate will analyze, execute, and rate infrastructure and project finance transactions, particularly related to energy and power assets in the US and Canada. The role will involve leading ratings analysis, research, and execution of North American transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategically lead ratings analysis, execution, and research on new and existing North American transactions.
• Identify relevant trends, assess credit impact, and highlight findings in industry- and market-focused reports and presentations.
• Gather and analyze quantitative/qualitative data and legal documents to produce ratings, publish credit reports, and contribute to special research reports.
• Develop strong relationships with analytical groups at Fitch to ensure analytical consistency and efficient transaction execution.
• Mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of solid project finance related experience in infrastructure.
• Proven project finance and infrastructure credit skills from banking, rating agencies, or buy-side credit departments.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Open mindset to evaluate opportunity and risk in evolving infrastructure landscape.
• Excellent modelling skills and familiarity with spreadsheet-based financial models.
• Ability to read and fully comprehend complex structures and to ask probing questions to issuers and advisers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as required.

Additional Preferred Experience

• Rating agency experience.
• Ratings advisory work.
• Deep understanding and keen interest in infrastructure and project finance.
• Professional background in capital markets and/or credit analysis.
• Experience interpreting complex legal documents such as bank agreements and bond indentures.
• Leadership and proactive stakeholder interaction.
• CFA designation.
• Master's degree in Finance, Business or Public Administration (preferred).

Pay and Benefits

Expected base pay ranges from $110,000 to $135,000 per year, adjusted individually based on experience and performance. Total compensation may include bonuses, commissions, and long-term incentives.
