Job summary

Razorfish in the United States seeks an Associate Director, Content to lead branded content partnerships within its media team. You will drive development and activation of programs, coordinate with partners, clients, and internal teams, and translate strategy into actionable plans.

You will guide a Manager/Supervisor-level team and shape content programs end-to-end. The role requires strategic and creative judgment, strong leadership, and the ability to manage complex programs from development

Qualifications

  • Serve as senior day-to-day client and partner lead, presenting recommendations and aligning stakeholders.
  • Direct and develop Manager/Supervisor-level team members with coaching and quality control.

Overview

The Associate Director, Content sits within Razorfish’s media team and leads the development and execution of branded content partnerships that connect media, creative, and culture to drive business results.

Reporting to the Director and managing Manager/Supervisor-level team members, the Associate Director plays a central role in bringing custom content programs to life, driving day-to-day development and execution while helping translate strategic direction into actionable plans. The role coordinates work across partners, clients, and cross-functional teams from marketplace development through activation and measurement.

An ideal candidate is a strategic, collaborative content marketer with strong creative and media judgment, client leadership skills, and the ability to lead complex programs and teams from development through execution.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the day-to-day development and activation of branded custom content programs, helping translate strategic direction into executable plans and coordinating work across partners, clients, and internal teams.
  • Manage marketplace engagement for custom content programs, including partner outreach, media plan proposal evaluation, iterative refinements, tactical recommendations, and negotiations. Provide strategic and creative POV across concepts, talent, production, content development, and stakeholder approvals.
  • Lead cross-functional execution across clients, partners, investment, creative, production, analytics, and legal/business affairs.
  • Oversee paid media activation and measurement, including launch readiness, delivery, optimization, reporting, and program wraps.
  • Drive program governance across timelines, budgets, approvals, dependencies, and deliverables; anticipate risks, develop solutions, and elevate when appropriate.
  • Serve as a senior day-to-day client and partner lead, presenting recommendations, facilitating decisions, and maintaining alignment across stakeholders.
  • Direct and develop Manager/Supervisor-level team members through clear priorities, coaching, feedback, and quality control.
  • Contribute to ideation, marketplace intelligence, partner evaluation, and new approaches that strengthen client programs and agency’s content offering.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in branded content, content partnerships, media investment, integrated marketing, entertainment marketing, or a related field; agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading custom content or integrated media programs from development through activation and measurement.
  • Strong understanding of the evolving media landscape and consumer, cultural, social, and entertainment trends, with an eye toward emerging opportunities for brands.
  • Strong strategic and creative judgment; conceptual and forward-thinking, with the ability to evaluate ideas and opportunities against client objectives, feasibility, and business value while navigating ambiguity and developing new approaches.
  • Strong client leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong project management, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and lead multiple complex programs, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and translate results into optimization recommendations and actionable insights.
  • Experience with partnership negotiations, creative development, content production, and paid media activation.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams and coaching or managing junior team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; comfort using Copilot or other AI‑enabled productivity tools is a plus.
  • Flexibility to support production windows as needed, which may occasionally require work outside traditional business hours and limited travel.

Compensation Range: USD $97,375.00 - USD $133,300.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
