Celcuity is seeking an Associate Director, Congress Planning to lead the strategic planning and execution of its congress program across major oncology congresses. You will partner with Marketing, Sales, Market Access and Medical Affairs to align objectives and deliver impactful experiences while maintaining brand consistency.

You will oversee logistics, vendor management and budgeting, develop scalable processes, and continuously optimize performance to maximize visibility and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in biotech/pharmaceuticals with congress program experience.

Job description

The Associate Director, Congress Planning is responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and continual optimization of Celcuity's congress program. This role serves as a key business partner across Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs and other cross-functional teams to deliver impactful congress experiences that enhance Celcuity's visibility, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and support corporate objectives. The Associate Director will oversee and execute the Celcuity congress program, including leading the overall planning process, project management, exhibit and event execution, agency management, budgeting, and operational excellence, while developing scalable processes and standards to support a growing portfolio of congresses.

Responsibilities

• Work cross functionally to develop a strategic framework for Celcuity’s congress/conference program from major Tier 1 conferences to sales led conferences, ensuring strategic alignment and brand consistency across the portfolio.
• Lead the overall strategic and tactical planning and execution of Tier 1 and Tier 2 medical congresses, including ASCO, ESMO, SABCS, JADPRO, ONS, and other key oncology congresses.
• Develop and implement congress plans that are aligned with commercial, medical, and corporate objectives and strategies.
• Serve as the primary congress lead and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs and other cross-functional teams to define congress goals, priorities, and program requirements.
• Drive alignment, decision-making, and accountability across stakeholders throughout the planning process.
• Oversee exhibit/booth design, activation planning, and overall congress presence.
• Lead all congress logistics, including exhibit space, housing, meetings, events, and onsite operations.
• Ensure seamless onsite execution and proactively mitigate operational risks.
• Build and maintain relationships with professional societies, conference organizers, and industry partners.
• Identify opportunities to enhance Celcuity's visibility, engagement, and reputation at scientific meetings.
• Manage convention agencies and external vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery and performance.
• Negotiate contracts and oversee vendor relationships to maximize value and mitigate risk.
• Develop and manage congress budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Establish and maintain congress planning standards, processes, and SOPs.
• Provide guidance and support for sales-led conference activities, as appropriate.
• Measure congress performance and provide recommendations to optimize future investments and outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, best practices, and lessons learned.
• Ensure all congress activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale medical congresses and exhibit programs
• Knowledge of exhibit booth asset management for large, mid, and small portable
• Strong project management, budgeting and vendor management skills.
• Must have a good understanding of the pharmaceutical environment and demonstrate the ability to be proactive with respect to congress planning.
• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel and provide onsite leadership for congresses and events as required.

Preferred

• Knowledge of oncology/breast congress landscape, US and ex-US
• Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Arts in a relevant discipline
• CTSM, HMCC

The company's first FDA-approved product is REVTORPYK (gedatolisib), a potent, pan-PI3K and mTORC1/2 inhibitor that comprehensively blockades the PAM pathway. REVTORPYK is approved to treat adults with HR+/HER2- advanced breast cancer that progressed on prior endocrine therapy in the metastatic setting.

The Phase 3 VIKTORIA-2 trial is evaluating gedatolisib in combination with palbociclib and either fulvestrant or letrozole for the first-line treatment of HR+/HER2- locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer. A Phase 1/2 clinical trial evaluating gedatolisib in combination with darolutamide in patients with metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer, is ongoing.

For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $170,000 to $180,000 DOE. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geography, qualifications, skills, and experience.

The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual performance incentive bonus and a new hire equity package. Celcuity also offers various benefits offerings, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) match, PTO, and paid holidays.
