Job summary

Old Dominion University’s Department of Psychology seeks a full-time 12-month non-tenure track Associate Director of the Community Psychological Services Center, beginning January 2027. The Associate Director will join the Clinical Psychology PhD Program faculty and help oversee clinical operations and training at the new outpatient center serving the Hampton Roads community.

The center will provide assessment and psychotherapies for adults, children and families; supervise graduate students;

Qualifications

• Expertise in psychodiagnostic assessment.
• Expertise in delivering mental health services to children and families.
• Proficiency in a range of evidence-based treatment modalities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise graduate students using evidence-based assessment and treatment.
• Meet with university administrators, referral sources, and community agencies.
• Cultivate external practicum sites in the Hampton Roads community.
• Direct provision of mental health services.
• Adhere to APA ethics and relevant state/federal laws.
