Job summary

Standard Chartered in New York seeks an Associate Director, CEO’s Office to support the EMEA clusters and collaborate with the Chief of Staff, EMEA in driving strategic deliverables for the CEO Office’s book of work.

The role involves working with Cluster CEOs and cross-functional teams to deliver regional priorities, manage multiple projects, and ensure governance, cost transparency and regulatory readiness across EMEA and the group.

Qualifications

  • Experience in at least two of operations, first-line risk, compliance or legal in FI’s.
  • Good understanding of Corporate & Investment Banking, and Wealth & Retail Banking
  • Good understanding of the SCB Network/Geographies
  • Understanding of Risk, Compliance, Governance and related matters
  • Prior experience in Project / Change Management preferred
  • Strong execution skills, ability to manage ambiguity, work on multiple projects and under tight timelines
  • Take Initiative and drive tangible business outcomes.

  • Coordinate budget reconciliation, and stakeholder communications to ensure alignment with group and business priorities.
  • Organise regular meetings for CEO’s top team, townhalls or other meetings to ensure close communication and alignment across the clusters.

Job description

The Associate Director, CEO’s Office will be responsible to support the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) clusters and work closely with the Chief of Staff, EMEA in driving projects, and be able to assess and deliver multiple strategic deliverables across the EMEA CEO Office’s book of work. The role works closely with the Cluster CEOs and their Chiefs of Staff, Finance, Risk, Compliance, HR, CABM and COO teams as well as the other global governance teams. The role is inherently varied and reflects the changing demands and responsibilities of the CEO’s Office for Europe, Middle East & Africa.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the CEO’s office for EMEA to deliver all regional priorities across strategy, workflow efficiencies, cluster synergies, risk management & governance, and monitoring & transparency.

Recruitment Assessments

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 105,000USD to 150,000USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
