Job description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

We build robots that find other robots and knock them out of the sky. At a time when air superiority can no longer be taken for granted, the Air Defense team provides mission critical capabilities to warfighters. From detection to tracking, identification, deterrence, and defeat, our family of networked sensors and effectors enables our customers to rapidly close the kill chain against a broad range of UAS threats. Working across product, engineering, sales, logistics, operations, and mission success, the Air Defense team develops, tests, deploys, and sustains the Anduril Air Defense Family of Systems (FoS) in challenging operational environments worldwide.

ABOUT THE JOB

Anduril's Civilian, Commercial, and Critical Infrastructure (CCC) portfolio is one of our fastest-growing mission areas — and we're building the team to match. From protecting nuclear sites for NNSA to securing World Cup venues from unauthorized drone incursions, our air defense systems are moving beyond the battlefield and into the most complex, regulated, and high-visibility environments in the country. We're looking for a driven Associate Director of Business Development to help us shape, capture, and scale this mission.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Build and execute a data-driven strategy to identify, shape, and close growth opportunities across Federal Civilian agencies (with a focus on DHS), State and Local governments, and large commercial enterprises in sectors including energy, logistics, transportation, and critical infrastructure.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the CCC customer base — know their programmatic roadmaps, operational requirements, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape — and use that understanding to position Anduril ahead of requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior officials and program stakeholders across DHS, DOE/NNSA, USSS, State Department, and commercial sector customers to identify new business opportunities, resolve program issues, and provide strategic direction across Anduril's growth, delivery, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Line Operations and Engineering leads to develop and execute coordinated campaigns that translate customer challenges into material solutions and inform product development. Work hand-in-hand with Anduril's Business Lines, Government Relations, Strategic Growth, Communications, and Corporate Development teams to develop programmatic shaping, contracting strategy, funding strategy, and partnership strategy leading to capture of future CCC opportunities.
  • Communicate Anduril's value to customers, partners, and the public. Project the company's ethos and convey our approach to building next-generation defense technology in civilian and commercial environments.
  • Foster a culture of trust, open communication, customer focus, and continuous improvement across a fast-moving, cross-functional team.
  • Deliver on financial performance commitments and strategic market growth initiatives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7–10 years of relevant operations, acquisition, program management, business development, and/or capture experience in the government and/or private sector working in defense technology or the broader technology space.
  • High ownership and initiative; adept at working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and creative environment. A strong teammate who works well across functions and levels.
  • Demonstrated success leading acquisition, management, development, and/or capture of Federal Civilian programs — with a focus on DHS or similar civilian government customers — and/or large commercial technology deployments.
  • Experience with the technical, programmatic, and operational challenges of developing, deploying, and sustaining complex technologies, software, and integrated security systems in regulated or sensitive environments.
  • Ability to identify, establish, and leverage key relationships with senior officials and program stakeholders across government and the private sector.
  • Working knowledge of the U.S. Government Acquisition Process, including familiarity with OTAs, IDIQs, and non-traditional contracting vehicles.
  • Demonstrated performance leading cross-functional teams and managing organizational resources under time pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior executives and customers.
  • Willing to travel up to 50%.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
